Grayson's first instacare visit
Friday I noticed that Grayson had been sleeping a lot more than usual and when I would try to wake him up it was impossible. He also wasnt eating great, like he usually does. As we were getting ready to go to Red Robin for Morgan's birthday I noticed that he was feeling warm so I took his temp and it was 100 degrees. Any GOOD mother would have stayed home to cuddle her little man all night, but not me because I SUCK!! So we piled in the car and stopped at Walmart on the way. I asked the pharmacist what I could give him, since he is only 6 weeks old. We got some tylenol and gave him some and we were on our way. He acted fine at dinner, but on our way home he was hot again. When we got home I got him naked and just put a lite blankie over him and he cooled right down. I also noticed that he had a lot of goop in his eye. It was pretty gross. With the help of tylenol he slept for 6 hours and when he woke up his eye was sealed shut with all the goop it had leaked. I called my mom, because that is what I do if I am in doubt about anything. She is definitely my "Go To Girl" And she always knows just what to do. So I decided that he needed to be seen by a doctor. We took him to instacare and the doctor told us it was just a little eye infection, not really a big deal unless left untreated. So we got a Rx for eye drops that I have to give him every 4 hours and she said we needed to watch his fever really closely. If it got to 101 degrees we needed to take him straight to Primary Childrens Hospital. Thank God it never got much over 100. I am still doing the eye drops, but his eye is looking much better and he doesnt have a fever any more! I am so glad it wasnt something more serious. And my little man is feeling much better!

That is scary! I am glad he is ok and you were able to take him to an instacare. I call Lady ALL the time if Cam is sick. That's what Mom's are for!! They always know what to say to make you feel calm, even if you should be worried!!
