Grayson on his first Thanksgiving! (he is thankful for Maama and boob juice)

Ive been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately. I have noticed that I have very very few pictures of me with my boys, because I am always the one taking the picture. I hope to change that. So here I am with my oldest little angel!!

We had a wonderful day together as a family spending time with our extended family! I love them all so much! I have so so so many things to be grateful for this year, I cant list them all. But the things I am most grateful for are my AMAZING family, Jared's wonderful family, my belief in miracles, my faith that God has a plan, the knowledge that one day I will have the chance to reunite with those who have gone on before me, my memories, and of course our sweet little miracle baby we were blessed with!

Back by popular demand...

Last year I did this and I was told by family members who read my blog that it was very helpful, so I thought I would do it again. It will also be fun for me to look back on this next year and see what my kiddies wanted. I do want to say, my children do not NEED anything. Grant wants a million things, but he does not NEED anything. I DO NOT by any means want anyone to feel obligated to get my kids anything for Christmas. These are simply suggestions for those who may want to get them something and dont know what to get. So here it is..

Grant
Loves sports and anything Redskins, Jazz or BYU
He loves Legos and anything he can put together
He likes action figures (super heroes)
He likes books (Right now we are reading The Magic Treehouse series)
He still really enjoys Disney movies
He wears a size small in tops and a 6slim in pants
He loves video games (xbox/wii) but we dont allow any fighting/violent games and they have to be age appropriate

Grayson
He wears 3-6/6-9 months
He is starting to like toys
He would like toys he can learn from
He loves to kick and fling his arms

Like I said they dont NEED anything!

SANTA!!!

When Grant got home today we were really quick to get his homework done before dad got home from work, because we had a plan! We wanted to go to the mall! Grant had written a letter to Santa and we wanted to take it to Macey's and drop it off.

Here he is writting his letter!
Macey's is doing this thing where you can take a letter in (or they have stuff at the store so you can write one there) and for every letter they receive they will donate $1.00 to the March of Dimes! Up to a million dollars. I think that is pretty cool!

Grayson had to send Santa a letter too!

And here is Grant's letter. He wrote it all by himself!

Here he is putting it in an envelope!

And here is the Santa Mailbox!
Grant and Grayson get to send letters to Santa and I just helped donate $2.00 to the March of Dimes!! Good deal!

Grant thought this was awesome!

Then we were off to see Santa! Yes I made my poor 2 month old wear a tie, but doesnt he look cute!

Grant's tie is awesome too!

Grant trying not to drop his ever-growing brother! LOL

How stinking cute is this!!

South Towne got a new Santa this year and I really like him and so did the kids! He was so good with them and really nice!

He had a little talk with Grant about being a good boy and keeping a smile on mommy and daddy's faces!

This picture was NOT posed. It was so sweet! When we were all done taking pictures and I was helping Grant get his coat on, Santa was talking like this to Grayson. I told the photographer, "hurry, get a picture of that."
Do you want to know what Santa was talking to my little angel about?? GOD! He asked Grayson to tell him what it was like in Heaven and asked him if he missed being in Heavenly Father's arms. He asked if Grayson could still see through the veil. And Grayson couldnt quit smiling. It was almost like Grayson knew exactly what he was saying. And as this strange man, in the middle of the crowded mall, who calls himself Santa sat and had a heart to heart with my little angel I couldnt help but tear up. It was the sweetest thing EVER!! (I think it is safe to say that this Santa is probably LDS)

We could not get a good picture of both of them. Oh well! They are the cutest anyway!

Grant's super goofy smile!

Now that's the smile I love!

2 months

Can you even beleive Grayson is 2 months old? It is just so crazy how quickly they grow! And he is becoming so alert and learning everyday! Sometimes you can watch him and you just know the wheels are turning. Here are some of the things he is doing right now..
He holds his head up when laying on his stomach
He still likes tummy time
He rolls over
He loves to stare at his own hands
He has discovered he can put his hands in his mouth
He is quite the drooler
He smiles all the time!!!
Sometimes he will even gigle a little bit
He loves to talk and coo
Sometimes he will let out little squeels
He loves his swing
He is a huge mommy's boy
He does love his daddy and brother though
He loves to be talked to and read to
He will bat at things put in front of him
He loves to look at himself in the mirror
He is sleeping through the night (6-7 hours)

Grayson is such a joy! Although he is still having some tummy troubles he is a very happy boy! I absolutely love spending my days with him. We love to cuddle and read. Grant just loves him more and more everyday! Grant is such an amazing big brother and Grayson knows it! When Grant gets home from school he comes in the door and says "brother is home" and Grayson perks right up and looks around for Grant! It is the sweetest thing ever! I really hate that he is growing so quickly, but on the other hand I love seeing his sweet little personality come out and develope! I know we are in for some fun times ahead!

He got shots today at the doctor so he was very tired all day and he wanted nothing more than to cuddle with mommy all day long! I ate up every minute of it!

TWO months! Look at my guns!

How could you not just love this little face!!

Poor little man with his bugs bunny band aids

And here are his stats...

Height    22in.   18%
Weight   11lb. 7oz.   46%
Head circ.   40cm.   52%

P/T conference

We went to parent/teacher conferences tonight and Grant is doing amazing! The only thing they have tested them in this year so far is math and reading. His scores are all well above average on both! Mrs. Wilkins actually said that right now he is reading at almost a 4th grade level and by the end of the year he should be well beyond that. I know that Grant is a great reader, but that was a little surprising to me. Grant and I have made a goal for Grant to read 75 books by Christmas and he is well on his way! He is also a great speller! Of the 8 spelling tests they have taken this year, he has scored 100% on every one including bonus words! They started a brand new math program this year. Mrs. Wilkins says that a lot of the students are having a hard time with it, because it is a little difficult. But not for Grant! He is whizzing right through it and gets 100% on all those tests as well! I can only hope that this keeps up! He is doing amazing!
Mrs. Wilkins says that he is also a great addition to the class. According to her, he is very polite and respectful, and he listens very well and follows directions! He has lots of friends and is always the first to offer to help her out or to help out a friend! The one thing she said was that sometimes he is a little too friendly, meaning he talks to his friends in class a little too much. But she said she never has to ask him more than once to quiet down and concentrate on his work!
I am so proud of my little man! I love him so much!!!

Andrus 365

I have created a new blog! I have entitled it "Andrus 365" and let me tell you why! I am a scrapbooker and I am a blogger... Obviously my memories are very important to me, and I want to capture and save memories for my boys too. I am loving these amazing memories that we are creating right now as a family and I want to preserve them on a daily basis. Scrapbooking and blogging about special events is no longer good enough for me. I want to chronicle  our daily lives! In a year I want to look back and see the way my boys have grown and I want to remember all I can about this journey. Some days there may only be one photo and some days there may be several posts. It all just depends on how busy our day is and what I want to REMEMBER. If you would like to come along on our journey you can follow it here...

I cant wait to get started!
