Contrary to popular belief
So I mentioned in my last little update that my father in law, Craig, is getting married in April. And I also mentioned that we were all a little shocked... Well that's not to say that we aren't happy for him. When I say WE I mean Jared and I. The rest of Craig's kids and family have their own opinions, some good and some not so good. We were just shocked because a lot of us thought that Craig might never get married again. It has been (I think) 17 or so years since he was divorced from Jared's mom. And the other reason we were a bit shocked is that he hasn't known her long and we had never even met her.
So we met her at Christmas time and have seen her a couple of other times since and I got a good feeling about her. Last week she called Jared and invited us over to her place for dinner. I was cautiously anticipating it, not really knowing what to expect. And I must say we had a GREAT time. We went over last night and all day yesterday Grant was so excited he kept asking me, "Is it time to go to Christine's yet?" She is a great cook and a wonderful hostess. We were lucky enough to meet her 18 year old son Chris and I really like him. Grant even asked if he could call him Uncle Chris. So CUTE! While us adults sat around the table talking and laughing, Chris took Grant in the living room and watched the X games with him. Grant got a kick out of it and they sat there yelling at the TV together.
I know that some people in the family have some reservations about the whole idea of Craig and Christine getting married, and I do think that some of those reservations are very valid, but I feel that Jared and I are ready to welcome Christine into the family with open arms!

I'm just not that into it...
Just wanted to share a recent photo of my little love bug!

Lately everytime I sit down to blog I find that I dont really have anything nice to say or I am just not in the mood, so... here is a quick update on us.
Jared's dad anounced that he is getting married in April. We were all a little shocked.
Grant is still love love loving school. He has been a really good boy lately(he always has been) He has been very sweet and very sensitive. And he has been having a lot of problems at night (night terrors, etc, etc...)
Jared hates his job and wants to quit. (what's new) I am hoping this too shall pass...
My sister in law is pregnant. This is NOT a happy occassion for anyone involved, for many reasons.
And me? I am just counting down the days till we board that plane to Florida and sail off to the Caribbean. It is a much needed family time break and it is deffinitely not going to be long enough.
So there you have it.

How stinking cute
How stinking cute are these kids? This cute little girl is Jared's cousins daughter. Her name is Jayden and she is two months older than Grant. It's too bad they are Second Cousins cause they tend to really like eachother. LOL

We were fortunate enough to go on an amazing cruise last year. It was an Eastern Caribbean cruise. We visited Nassau in the Bahamas and we also went to a beautiful private island called Coco Cay. Just Jared and I went and we had so much fun together, just the two of us. After 5 years of marriage it was the first time we had taken a vacation together ALONE. We really enjoyed eachothers company and all our great alone time, but we did miss Grant emensely.
This is a picture I took of our awesome ship!
And here is my cute husband on Coco Cay. I am so excited that we are going to have the oppurtunity to go on another cruise this year and we are all very excited that Grant is going with us (especially me) We leave on Feb. 5 and this year we will be going to the Western Caribbean, Key West and Cozumel. This year we know a little bit more about what we are doing and we have planned some land excursions. We are going to visit a beach called Mr. Sancho's on Cozumel and go horseback riding on the beach and enjoy some of the authentic Mexican food for dinner. On Key West we are going to take a trolley tour around to all the shops, restraunts, and attractions. I am excited to go shopping in both places and to just have fun with my boys.
