Read post below first

After all of the fun rides we decided to go grab a bite to eat where we knew it would be air conditioned. But we had to be quick if we wanted to get a good seat for the rodeo. So we went to Arby's. Aren't my boys cute? This nice cowboy was letting all the kids pet his horse. All Grant wanted to do was RIDE the horse.
We walked around and looked at all the calves and bulls and horses.
Grant really had a lot of fun, but he was getting very tired.
And we pushed him too far. After all the fun we had and all the running around and the heat he had a little melt down right next to the John Deere tractor. If you know grant well enough you know he likes John Deere.
All in all we had an amazing day together as a family!

Saturday FULL of FUN!!!

We took Grant to a matinee movie. We went to see Wall E. It was so dang cute! We all loved it!Grant passed out on Daddy's lap at the end! Dad took us to lunch at Red Robin! We decided to go to the Riverton Town Days carnival and rodeo. It was so incredibly hot out. The lemonade was refreshing though.
Grant wanted to go on this huge slide. There were 8000 stairs to climb up and I was a little scared that he was going to get scared and change his mind. He hiked up all those stairs and then there was no turning back. He went down with a huge smile on his face and I could tell he loved it. He wanted to go again so of course he did.

On the Ferris wheel with mommy.
What a cutie. He is squinting cause the sun is so bright.
On the circus train. Rode this a couple times.
He loved the 4x4s!
Lots of fun!

To dream or not to Dream

Since Grant was little he has always had night terrors. He was actually diagnosed with night terrors about a year and a half ago by his pediatrician. He doesn't remember them but I sure do. He also has bad dreams quite often as well. Anyone who has ever dealt with night terrors knows there is a BIG difference. Unfortunately he does remember the bad dreams. Well when I put him to bed at night we go through our regular routine and then I hug and kiss him a million times, I tell him I love him, Good night and sweet dreams. His response lately is I am not going to dream tonight mom. I find this funny but also really sad. Poor guy is afraid to dream.

July already?

This is last year about this time!

Fun night with Fam

So we went to Italian Village tonight for dinner with my aunt Susie and her husband and kids. Stupid me I forgot the camera. But it was a lot of fun and yummy too. They werent able to make it to Grant's birthday, that's why we went. So of course Aunt Susu came bearing gifts.Among them was The Fox and the Hound. Grant really loves Disney movies lately and I am trying to collect them all for him. She also gave him Dumbo, which he loves. Anyway we came home and took a shower and then watched Fox and the Hound together. We had popcorn and cuddled. It was FUN!!!

My baby shop is closed!

I have been watching my friend Sara's little boy for her while she is out of town on work. I have had him for a few weeks now. In the backseat of the car tonight I looked back to see Grant holding Oliver's hand. It was cute! Grant said to me, "mom I want a baby!" (which is not uncommon for Grant) The conversation continued as follows
Me: Do you want a baby brother or a baby sister?
Grant: a baby bludda (which is uncommon for Grant) most days he wants a baby sissy
Me: I want a baby sister!
Then Grant got all excited: Today?
Me: No not today honey.
Grant: I know, they are closed, right?
Me: Who is closed?
Grant : The baby shop. They are closed, right?
I am so emotional lately, so laughing and crying at the same time I said, "yes honey, my baby shop is closed today."
He literally rolled his eyes at me and said, "well maybe tomorrow then!"
And that was the end of that!
He is so darn smart sometimes and so funny, I laugh all day long. He brings me so much joy and happiness. I love that he is becoming too smart for his own good. It keeps me on my toes. I also hate that he is growing up so darn fast. I guess I cant have it all, but I feel like I do anyway!
This is Grant when he was about Oliver's age! (a little over a year old)

Shout gets the tough stains out

I dont allow Grant to watch too much TV but when he does watch he is like a magnet. I was doing the wash today and I was complaining about a stain he had gotten on his shirt so he told me, "You need some shout mom, it gets the tough stains out!"
Oh my hell, I cracked up laughing!

My baby is 4

This is Grant's birthday cake. Obviously it was a baseball theme! Here is my big 4 year old. He has his Bee's hat and shirt on but he had to wear a jacket cause it was a little chilli!I think this is such a cute picture! Grant and his uncle Cody!Blowing out the candles! My mom and dad brought Grant a piggy bank bear so that he can save his money and deposit it into the account they opened for him at christmas time. They also got him Hungry Hippos, a fishing pole with a fish, and Moon Sand. And of course papa shelled out quarters to put in the bear!

Jared and I got him a baseball mitt, batting gloves and a baseball bat!He loved them!
On top of my mom's present she put 2 cans of silly string and uncle Shane wanted to have a silly string war. Notice Grant hiding behind Jared! It was really cute!
Everyone was commenting on how polite Grant was. He kept thanking everyone and I was so proud of him!
This is just too funny. I had to post it. This is Grandpa Jack, Jared's Grandpa. He has got Jared's new sunglasses on. Isn't he the coolest!

Grant also ended up with....
3 John deere tractors
10 squirt guns (yes 10)
5 outfits
TONS of baseball stuff including an automatic pithcer thing that pitches the balls to you
and so much other wonderful stuff.
He deffinitely got SPOILED!!!

Some funny things Grant says

The other day Grant was ornery and Jared was bothering him. I told Grant just ignore him, so he said to Jared, "dad I am annoying you." meaning I am ignoring you.

Tonight while taking a bubble bath he said, "mom these bubbles are so FUFFLY"

After graduation I told him to tell uncle Brock congratulations and he said, "congraduation"

Construction=condrunken

He was sassing me and told me NO so I said to him, "Grant you do not tell me no, that just doesn't fly with me." As serious as could be his reply was, "well welcome to Grantland mom!"

You always know Grant has taken a dump when you hear him yell from the bathroom, "Mom come wipe my butt!"

He has a little lawn mower that blows bubbles. The other day he was out mowing the lawn and he puts his hand on his lower back and says, "Oh man, my back is killing me. I need a break!"
Bet you can guess who says that all the time... Jared!
