Have you ever looked at the ingredients and nutritional facts on a lunchable?? Well I hadnt until not too long ago. Let's just say they are not good for you. Personally, I like meat and cheese and crackers stacked together like a little sandwich, so I decided to just make my own lunchables and it is so easy. So this is our new favorite lunch or snack around here. Grant loves to take it in his lunch. So first I just cut up some cheese (we like colby jack) into cracker sized pieces. Then I just used presliced, prepackaged lunch meat (we prefer turkey) Just cut them in half and then in half again and they are the perfect size. But the best part, we think, are the crackers. We use Wheat Thins Fiber Selects in the Garden Vegetable flavor. They are so yummy! For Grant's lunch I put the meat and cheese in a small tupper ware and put the crackers in a ziploc bag. I also cut up extra and put it in the fridge. It makes a great lunch for me as well! You could put so many twists on this, the possibilities are endless.

My thoughts EXACTLY! I like to cut the meat and cheese with cookie cutters into fun shapes! Of course I think I have done this once.
I also hate that crackers have partially hydrogenated oils!!!!!! Ritz has them but the Kroger brand doesn't! Cheaper & a bit better for you. Next step is making my own crackers & I just don't have time for that.
Good job Mommy!
