32 weeks

By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

This past Saturday I lost my mucous plug. I called the doctor and he told me to just take it easy and watch for contractions and labor signs. He also told me MOST women go into labor within 2 weeks of losing it, so that scared me a bit. I was only at 31 weeks. So Sunday I just took it easy all day and my amazing husband doted on me all day. It was so cute. When I woke up on Monday morning I just felt different and was having a ton of back pain and contractions. I didnt think a whole lot about it until I had this major pressure down in my pelvis. I thought I would call to get a professionals opinion on the situation, and the nurse told me to go into labor and delivery to get checked out. I really debated on whether I was going to go in or not, because I was pretty sure I was not in labor. But I would rather be safe then sorry at 31 weeks, I wanted to make sure my baby boy was ok. So I dropped Grant off at my mom's and headed to the hospital, Jared met me there. They hooked me up to all the monitors and took all the vitals. Everything looked good, baby looked great and my contractions had even slowed down by that point. I was so happy. The nurse did an exam and I am dilated to almost 2cm, which isnt really a big deal. She also did a "preterm labor test" She explained to us that if it came back possitive labor would be very soon, and if it came back negative we would have at least 2 weeks before labor. It came back negative!! Jared and I were both so releived. We now know we have at least 2 weeks before I go into labor, which means that Grayson has more time to develope INSIDE of mommy!!! I can not wait to have my baby boy in my arms but I dont want it to be too soon. I want him to be able to come home from the hospital with us, not have to stay in the NICU.
