Surgery or not?
I took it upon myself to do a little research on the Internet about this adenoidectomy that my baby is supposed to have next week. I printed out a bunch of info that I found and shared it with Jared. After discussing it we decided that we wanted a second opinion. So Grant has an appointment Wed. at 3:00 to see a different doctor. We did not cancel his surgery on the 9th, because depending on what this new doctor says we may be still going through with it as planned. I will let you all know what the new doctor says and what the verdict is on the surgery! Thanks again for all your well wishes!

A very good idea to get a second opinion! I hope this other doctor has some non-surgical alternatives for you! Again, if you need ANYTHING, call, email, whatever! We're thinking of you!

Hey Laurie-- This is Ashley, Erin's sister, I took a peek at your blog from Erin's. I just wanted to tell you that my little man had his adenoids removed when he was 11 months old, and it was well worth it. I hope all goes well!!
I think 2nd opinions are always smart too. Surgeries are big deals! I had ear infections a lot as a child, I had tubes put in. I also had my tonsils & adenoids removed. It seems like I have not had any problems related to their disappearance. I will ask my Mom more about it. Poor guy! We just want him healthy and being a normal kid! Let me know if you need help with anything at all.
