Just imagine

My son has an imagination like nothing else. He likes to lay a blanket out on the floor and pretend it is a swimming pool. It just cracks me up sometimes, some of the things he comes up with. He will run around the living room dribbling his imaginary basketball, I am always the coach and I have to blow my whistle and call timeouts. He also loves to pretend he is the fix-it man, a firefighter, a mailman, or an explorer. I love it when he pretends he is a daddy and he has to change his baby doll's diaper, he actually makes me give him a wipe and then when the baby is hungry he feeds it an imaginary bottle. I know all kids use their imagination, but Grant takes it to a whole new level. Sometimes I think he truly believes we are hunting dinosaur in our backyard or he is playing in the NBA with Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer. He tells me all the time "I love to use my imagination Mom" Whatever it is we are doing Grant is imagining it at another level. Just last night we were painting little wooden ornaments that I picked up at Joann for 50 cents a piece, but we weren't just painting, we were amazing artists. And when we were done and we went to hang them on the Christmas tree we were really hanging our masterpieces in our art museum. Where does he come up with this stuff?
I love it. I love that he is so creative and he loves to pretend. He is a great THINKER. His amazing little 4 year old mind just blows me away. I hope that he will always imagine and pretend and and think outside the box.
