On Grant's actual birthday, which was Monday the 7th, he wanted to go to the zoo. So Jared took the day off and we went!
Arent they so darn cute holding hands! Man I love my boys to peices!
Of course baby Zuri was my favorite animal to see! And I cant wait until they have the new exibit done up there! That one will be awesome too!
Grant before lunch!
See the difference food makes?? LOL
Tyson pulled Grant in the wagon a lot of the way!
Grant loved the giraffes
Cute birthday boy! And yes he has got orange hair again!
Waiting for the bird show to begin!
When we got home, it was so hot Grant wanted to get the pool set up! Mom and Dad are kinda boring so he invited some neighbor kids over!
Natalie was in Grant's class this year and that is her brother Derreck. They live right across the street from us!
This is Kate, thier little sister.
We also got all the squirt guns out and they had a blast!
Man he is so cute!

For dinner we told Grant he could choose anything he wanted. He chose Applebees and got mac n cheese. He is so goofy. Then he passed out on the couch at about 8:30. We really wore him out!! And he had a great day!

Birthday party #2 Buttercup park

On Sunday, the 6th we had a family party for Grant! We decided to do dinner for everyone, Grant chose to have hoagies and salads and fruit!
S we got all the hoagie stuff and the fruit and we asked everyone else to bring something. Maama brought her delicious maccaroni salad, Gma Diane brought her yummy potato salad, and everyone else pitched in too! Thank you to everyone who came and made this day so special for Grant! Grant had only one special request, he wanted BLUE DORITOS! lol so thank you to Aunt Cassie who brought the doritos!
Grant wated to have a rockstar party sp thats what we did! When we were at the party store and he asked if he could color his hair for the party I thought, "why not? You only turn 6 once! Right?" So here we are enjoying dinner and good company!
Now when my little guy opens gifts he always gets so excited, he has always been this way! I just love the faces he makes as he sees the gift for the first time! It doesnt matter what the gift is, his face is priceless! (this was clothes from Gma Diane)

Disney movies from aunt Susie, uncle Al, and the kids!
A water slide from Maama and Papa
Quick time out for a kiss from mom! My little guy is such a lover, and he doesnt care if there are a million people around watching, he still lets me love on him! (who knows how long that will last)
A spiderman web blaster from aunt Moe!
My 6 year old birthday boy!
Grant has been asking me for about 2 months now to make him a spiderman blanket! I am so mad there isnt a picture of his face when he opened it, but he was so excited and surprised! Even though it was 85 degrees out he insisted on keeping it on him and he has slept with it every night since!
Papa, Uncle BJ, and Maama (dont they look thrilled) my poor mom was so sick, but she was a trooper for grant! Thanks Maama!
Iron Man garb! This is all he asked for this year!
And of course the Iron Man helmet that he wanted sooo bad! He loves it!
Here is the crappy cake. I ordered it from smith's and it tasted wonderful but it sure was ugly. Nothing like I thought it would look, plus they spelled YOU'RE wrong. It says "Grant your a rockstar" Oh well, you live and you learn!

All in all we had a fabulous time and I know that my little guy had a ball!!! (thats all that really matters)

Birthday party #1 Boondocks

On Saturday we had a friend party for Grant at Boondocks.
Here is his cake. He picked it out!
My sweet birthday boy!
Grant and the twins! Brandon and Benjamin
Grant and Mason, who have been best buddies for about 4 years.
Natalie and Savannah! Grant has a little crush on Savannah!
This is a fun little game they played with Grant. While we sung happy birthday, he had to turn around as fast as he could and if he got all the tickets wrapped around him before we were done singing then he got to keep all 200 of them! He rocked it!
Got to keep them all!
Blowing out candles!
And enjoying the 3 bites of cake he ate!
Ollie playing air hockey with Grant!
Grant and Natalie!

After all Grant's friends left we decided to stay with Ian and Monica and the kids! So we spent another 2 hours doing bumper boats and gocarts!
Mommy and her birthday boy! Grant is holding my tummy cause he said he wanted baby brother to be in the picture too!
Daddy and his birthday boy!
Kyrie kicking some major BUTT in the gocarts!
Talon got stuck in the slow car! LOL
We had a really great day and most important Grant had so much fun with his friends and cousins!

Schools out! YAY!!!

WOW!! Where do I start? We have had a pretty busy last week or so.
Last Wednesday was Grant's last day of school and they had a really cute program! It was so fun to watchit, it almost made me cry!

Here he is doing his speaking part with his friend Mellanie!
Here he is being all cheesy! (I think it was his teacher who put his hat on all crazy like that. Oh well)
CLASS OF 2022!!!
He looks so big! I cant believ my baby is going into 1st grade!
Some of Grant's friends, Savannah, Mellanie, and Sage. You can see Grant, Brock, and Jared in the background!
Mrs. Broderick was so amazing! She is such a sweetheart and you could just tell she really loves her job and all the kids in her class!
I dont even remember what day, but I think it was Friday, Grant and I wanted to go to the park. Grant always has more fun with a friend, so we went and got Brody and took him with us. Brody is a little boy my mom tends. My mom was sweet enough to make us a picnic lunch and we had so much fun!
Brody was way too busy to be bothered with pictures!
My son seems to think his fingers are guns lately. I know boys will be boys, but this drives me CrAzY! (Although he is soooo cute I just want to eat him up)
Brody went home with a new trick that night because by the time we took him back to my mom he thought his fingers were guns too!

23 weeks

•Proportions of the body are now quite similar to a newborn although thinner since he hasn't begun to form body fat.

•Bones located in the middle ear harden.
•Your baby is able to hear. (Dads, did you know: low-frequency sounds mimicking a male voice penetrate the abdomen and uterine wall better than the higher frequencies of the female voice?)
•The eyes are formed, though the iris still lacks pigmentation.
•The pancreas, essential in the production of hormones, is developing steadily. She has begun producing insulin, important for the breakdown of sugars.
•If born now, your baby has a 15% chance of survival, his odds going up with each passing day.
•The average baby at this stage weighs 1.1 pound (501gm) and is 11.38 inches (28.9cm) long.
