Ready or not...

When I dropped Grant off for his first day of Kindergarten today I could tell he was a little bit nervous but he was also very excited. And I admit I felt the same way. I am so excited for Grant to start this new chapter and make new friends and to learn all the neat things you learn in Kindergarten. I know that he is really ready for this new chapter and I am so proud of him, he is so smart and very outgoing. He learns things quickly and makes friends quickly too. I know he will be a total ROCK STAR in Kindergarten just like he is at everything else he does!

I know he is ready, but am I???

Well ready or not, Kindergarten is under way right now as I sit here and type this (watching the clock, just biding my time until I can go get him) My baby is obviously not a baby anymore, he is growing into an amazing little BOY right before my eyes and it is so hard to believe how fast the time has gone. I am so lucky though because I was blessed with "a lover". My little lover boy will still tell me he loves me in front of other people, he will still hold my hand, and hug me and kiss me, cuddle me and lay on my lap. I know that wont last forever but for now I just eat it up. I am so proud of who he is becoming. Grant truly is my very best friend! Before school today I made him let me do a little photo shoot! I am NOT a professional photographer, but he sure is a cute subject to take pictures of!

Quick update

Wow I feel like I havent blogged forever. So I thought I would hurry and give a quick update. I am no longer working, which has its ups and downs. Dax's mom was transfered for her job and they had to find a babysitter closer to them. We miss him a lot, especially Grant. But I also love sleeping in everyday with my little boy! Grant is so excited to start school on Monday. We went to meet his teacher today and it all went well, she is really nice and I feel good about this year. I think it will be a great experience. Jared has a new found love, he is obsessed with golf lately. Grant and I have had a lot of fun school shopping together, and we went school shopping and to lunch with Maama one day and that was a lot of fun. We found out not too long ago that my Grandma has pancreatic cancer and that has been hard, we are trying to spend more time with her and keep her spirits up during this hard time. My mom and I and Grant went and got her and we all went to the park and had lunch together. That was a lot of fun too. Please keep her in your prayers. Grant is sooooo in love with his new cousin Bentley, and we have been seeing him a lot. Grant asks to go see Bentley every single day without fail. It is nice to spend time with Grandma Diane too! I love Bentley so much but it is really hard sometimes to be around him. Jared and I both know that our family is not complete, but it is very frustrating to not be able to do anything about it. I have had a really hard time lately, but believe me we are trying really hard. Please keep me in your prayers as well. Other than that trial we are being faced with, we are so very happy and just living our lives to the fullest! Sorry this is so short but I am going to bed now! Love you all!

I am an aunt!!!

Chelsea was in labor for about 9 hours and she was a champ! Bentley was born at 1:54 AM and it was the neatest experience! The little peanut gave us quite a scare and it took the nurses awhile to get him to breathe. But he is ok and he is adorable. He weighed 4lb 14oz and is 19 in long! Like I said he is just a little peanut! Mommy and baby were doing well when we left the hospital at 2:30 this morning.
So here are some pictures of Bentley Cruze Andrus! He really gave us a scare.Being weighedWelcome to the world Bentley!

Long blog and lots of pictures

I know I haven't been very good at updating my blog for a while now, partly because I am on FB a lot and partly because I have just not been doing well lately. I am not going to write a bunch but here are some fun pictures of things we have been doing lately (when I feel well enough and have enough energy to get out of the house)We took Grant to Boondock's one night and we all had a lot of fun! Here are Grant and daddy in line for the go carts!Grant loved the go carts! Here are Grant and mommy in line for the bumper boats!I am telling Grant to try to squirt daddy!Even though he love the go carts he loved the bumper boats even more. And so did I. It was nice to cool down.Today I actually had a little energy so I decided to pack up a lunch and take the kids to the Discovery Garden at Thanksgiving Point. We sat on the grass and had a picnic under a tree!We played in the water for a little bit! Dax did not like it!Here are my cute boys!I was so afraid that Dax's head was going to get burnt because his hair is so thin, so I sprayed a bunch of sunscreen in his hair. You cant see it in the picture very well.My boys by a waterfall!Dax kept saying "WOW" he loved all the waterfalls!
DID YOU KNOW... THANKSGIVING POINT HAS THE LARGEST MANMADE WATERFALL IN NORTH AMERICA??? Well I have seen that commercial many times and I never really thought anything of it, but I am telling you, if you haven't seen the falls at Thanksgiving Point you are really missing out. They are AMAZING!!! I want to go back during every season just to see how amazing they are at different times of the year. It's not just the falls that are so amazing, it's everything around you. If you do go and you have never been before you have to walk up over the falls, the experience tantalizes all your senses, You can see and smell all the beautiful fragrant flowers and hear the falls with the beautiful sound of the birds chirping. You can feel the sun beating down on you with the cool mist of the water spray. It truly is awesome.Dax is so sillyWe had a lot of fun!

Sara and Jon got hitched!

On Friday we had the pleasure of attending Sara and Jon's wedding. It was a beautiful backyard wedding. Sara's colors were orange and pink and she looked amazing! She had her daddy and her sweet little boy Oliver walk her down the aisle.
Here is the happy couple just after saying their I DO's
Here are my cute boys.
Ollie was so cute in his little orange tie. He ran around barefoot dragging his blankie behind him. Silly little boy!
Here is the back of Sara's dress and I love the way she incorporated the orange.
Sara and Jon know how to throw a party so for food at the wedding they fired up the grills and we enjoyed a fabulous summer BBQ.
It was a lot of fun and I am so happy for them! Though they have been a family for awhile, now it is "official"

Preschool grad!

Grant had his preschool graduation last night and I must say, I think he looked pretty darn handsome! Here he is posing for mommy!
Daddy and his little "mini me"
I walked to the back room where all the kids were getting ready, to see if I could get a couple pictures. Grant and Lily were of course holding hands!
And she was giving him a little pep talk, telling him not to be nervous and to stand up strait and smile big. How cute!
There's my little man!
Receiving his diploma from Miss Maria!
Cutest little grad I've ever seen!
Thank you to Maama & Papa and Grandpa Craig & Christine for making it to support Grant. I know it was hectic, and hard for you all to make it because there were other important things going on. It really means so much to all of us that you were able to take the time to share this special night with us. Grant is so lucky to have so many people that love him so much!
