Grant's first crush

When Grant got home from school today he came over to give me a hug and the conversation went like this...

Me: I love you so so much little love bug!
Grant: I love you too Mom!
Me: Oh yea? How much?
Grant: All the way to Pluto and all the way back.
Me: Who is your very bestest girl?
Grant: Lily....... Oh and you Mom!

Jared was sitting there when we were having this conversation and he said that when he went to pick Grant up from school today he was a little early so he went in. All the kids were sitting on the floor watching a movie and Grant and Lily had their arms around each other. And Lily wanted to come home with Grant.
So I think my little love bug has his first crush. He is only 4. It is scary and cute at the same time. I know it is just innocent, but really, he is only 4. Silly kids.

Stop! You're under darrest!

Officer Grant with his Grandpa Craig!
Uncle Coco got darrested (that's how Grant says it)

Grant and aunt Moe
Officer Grant and "Jazz fan Jared" going trick or treating in my parents neighborhood.
"Halloween is my very favorite night!" That's what Grant told almost every person who answered the door while he was trick or treating!

Grant's loot! I am a little surprised at his lack of interest in the candy. He had two pieces on Halloween night and one the next day. He hasn't even asked today. So I plan on throwing it away tomorrow. I am almost positive he wont even miss it so why not?
After all the fun we had we put him in his jammies and he passed out!
We had such a great night! Thank you to Grandpa Craig, Aunt Susu, and of course Maama and Papa!

Grant's concern for the little children

So we were at a store today and we were at the checkstand. There was a mother with two little girls behind us. The girls looked like they were probably 2 and 4. The 2 year old says Mom I thirsty. So the mom goes to the drink cooler that is right there next to her and gets out a Pepsi. And I am thinking she is not really going to give her 2 year old a drink of that Pepsi (I was mortified) So then the 4 year wants a drink and the mom gets her her own DR.PEPPER! I mean come on people? Really? Anyway this whole time Grant is standing there watching this all play out and he turns to me and very loudly and also very concerned he says Oh my gosh Mom! Those little children are drinking soda, and their mommy is letting them do it! I thought it was hillarious that he was so concerned and that she actually heard him say that. But she didnt think it was so funny and I got a really nasty look.
My little man knows that I dont like him to drink soda and I have explained to him why and I do think that he actually understands my reasoning. She may not have been too amused by his reaction but I on the other hand was proud of him! (and I thought it was way funny)

I'm coming out of the closet!

Most people occasionally feel nervous meeting a new person or speaking in front of a group. People with social anxiety disorder (SAD), however, become overwhelmingly anxious and self-conscious even in everyday social situations.

This is me. I have never really told anyone other than those very very close to me. I dont understand it myself so I dont expect others to understand it. But it is getting to a point where I think I could be hurting or offending some people that I really care about.

One of my biggest problems is the phone. Have you ever called me and not gotten a call back? Well first off let me say I am sorry. Im sure I got your call and if you left a message Im sure I got that too, but if you didnt recieve a phone call back I just couldnt bring myself to do it. I dont know why??? I just HATE the phone. It makes me very anxious and I will sit there for a long time debating whether I should pick up the phone and make the call, and I always talk myself out of it. I dont make any phone calls I dont have to. My husband does it all. He calls to order take out, he calls to make Grant and ME doctor appointments, I got a ticket and he even called on that for me. If I have to make the call and Jared cant do it for me I will put it off for days sometimes even weeks. Sometimes I dont even call my own mother back, so please dont take it personal. If you really want to get a hold of me the best thing to do is text me.

It's not just the phone though. It's other social situations too. especially face to face, one on one. I get so anxious and nervous to see people even if I am close to them. I absolutely love to go scrapbooking with my sister-in-laws, but I worry about it and have anxiety over it for days before we go. I dont know why??? I really hate to be in large groups of people I havent seen for a long time. Well I hate being in large groups no matter who it is, even family. I get nervous about any kind of social situation. Makes me so crazy. It's not because I dont want to see people, I just get so anxious about it.

Well now the entire world knows. If I have offended anyone in anyway because of this I am really sorry. Please let me know if I have so I can apologize to you personally. This not just some excuse. This is very real for me. I am working on it but it is hard.
